Help connecting to iCloud

If you would, try and run on your mac osx machine:
offlineimap -1 -d imap -l logfile.txt
This will send more detailed debug info about the imap protocol, including hopefully that authentication error, to a file named logfile.txt
Then if you could attach or copy/paste that logfile.txt and myself or possibly one of the official maintainers might see why exactly the plain auth is failing for you on osx.

Hi Chris
Yes, I'd be delighted to do that, and to help with fixing this issue if I can.
Specifically, what would be most useful to you, over and above what's captured below? I'm more than happy to run anything and capture whatever material is useful.
I have now set up a linux server which is running the offlineimap job beautifully, connecting to icloud... And the Mac is connecting absolutely fine to gmail and others.
All the best, and thanks for your kind attention to this.
Jamie

If you could run OI on both os's and generate logs on purpose and then copy/paste the relevant sections that would be very helpful tracking this bug down.
