Could you please reinstall libasound2_1.0.12-1 and post the output
$ ls -al /usr/lib/libasound*

Else start xmms or your favourite audioplayer from the commandline
and monitor the output in $TERM while loading an audio-file. Post
suspicious output.


  Numeric stability is probably not all that 
  important when you're guessing;-)
