Possibly. I've never had any luck using icon-tray based programs via SSH
forwarding in the near and not-so-near past.

I think it wants one in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/%size%/apps/.

This idea comes from looking at other error messages, like
https://appstream.debian.org/sid/main/issues/pterm.html
