[Pkg-exim4-users] Problems with install

You have been told that there is something wrong with your system and
that you do not have an exim problem. You might want to ask on
debian-user, or follow the advice that you have received here, that
using aptitude insteat of apt-get might help. This is also mentioned
in the Debian sarge release notes.

The docs that you have claimed to read clearly say that a normal
Debian exim4 installation does not repeat not use any file called
exim4.conf. The exim4.conf mechanism is offered as an option for exim
experts (which you are clearly not) to allow them to use their own,
hand-crafted configuration.

I bet that your system didn't even try to install exim4 because of the
dependency loop that apt-get has detected.

Fix your system.
