Ok, so it is just a taste ;-)

I thought about advantages of either of the two, but nothing really won.
I finished with 'so all backports and proper packages are nicely grouped
together' ;-)

However, as the branches are still flat (besides the name suggesting a
hierarchy) I think anyone of the two is fine. So let's do it the Debian
way -- the one who does it decides. If you want it flipped, go ahead....
