[pymvpa] problem in buiding package from source

While installing pymvpa from source, I got this error
i have ubuntu 10.04 and python 2.6
I had used the first command *python setup.py build_ext*
and got this error.Please help me.

unable to execute swig: No such file or directory
error: command 'swig' failed with exit status 1
