ah -- you are just a spoiled user of the (Neuro)Debian ;-)

we should update the package (update will be announced on the
list) -- meanwhile fixed GNBSearchlight is only in GIT, but using
it for you it should be as easy as

git clone git://github.com/PyMVPA/PyMVPA.git
cd PyMVPA
make
export PYTHONPATH=$PWD

and then do any magic you like in that shell -- it will use a copy of
pymvpa from GIT.
