I've been using svn a lot recently for software development and I find it very
useful. I also have good references for its usage from the KDE development
team, so I think it would be a great idea to use it.
Anyway, I'm not an expert in the usage of svn for package maintenance, so I'd
like to get some comments on it before taking the decision of using it for
this project. That's why I asked for opinions in the list.

I totally agree with you in this point. I'm just not really sure right now how
to handle this. If anyone has experience in a case like this, it would be
great to know the possible problems before designing the system. Otherwise
I'll try to implement something for this and use a trial and error method for
getting slowly rid of the problems. I'd prefer to be able to use other's
experiences if it is possible.
