pango setting is the issue for tamil fonts to be rendered right.

what you say is correct.
there is one singular and one plural form only in tamil.
it is so in other files
i inserted the line manually but it disappeared on opening with kababel!
perhaps i am not allowed to change the header.

what distroe are you using?
i use ubuntu and have rohit tamil as default font

i dont know the tech reasons but when i started learning the ruls for
translation i was told not to translate any string that appears in all caps
so i left them out.
if it is ok i can always translate them for you.
