Hi,
the autopkgtests of kopanocore hit it on Ubunut-bionic where we
recently merged debian/8.3.4-4.
I took a look and found a set of apparmor blocks to be the reason.

This was kind of a rabbit hole and not all issues were best fixed by
just allowing them in apparmor.
You can find my fixes that I used to get it fixed in Ubuntu for now at [1].
I rebased them onto debian/8.3.4-4 from your git and dropped the
changes not applying to you (some php package renames only in Ubuntu).

I think having each change on a given commit will help to review them
much easier.
If you have any question on any of them let me know.

The LP bug [2] also has more details e.g. the apparmor denies that got
fixed as well as some discussions around alternative fixes.
