Bug#234655: reproduced

Hi!

I seem to be suffering from this same bug (nautilus thinks my desktop is
1024x768, even though it's 1280x1024).  See
http://matilda.phys.uu.nl/~bas/screen24.png for a screenshot (the icons
are just cut if they are put beyong the 1024x768 border).

It is solved by killing (and restarting by means of the gnome
session-manager) of nautilus.

I suspect that is it caused by me rsyncing my homedirectory with my
laptop, hwich indeed had a 1024x768 resolution.

So, I guess (haven't tried) to reproduce: start an X server on a lower
resolution than your normal destop, run gnome in this new X server, log
out normally, and start gnome in your normal, larger desktop.
