Bug#299520: gnome-panel: I run into bug #299520 also.

I also run into gnome-panel consuming 100% CPU.  The gdb backtrace is
listed below.  I ran into this problem this morning after upgrading to
the latest packages in testing.  My last sync against testing was over
a week ago (if the exact date is necessary, I'll try to dig it up).

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to expedite squashing
this bug, because I'm stuck with KDE until it's fixed.

P.S. I'm not sure if it's related, but I don't get either the panel
accross the top (which has the menus) or the one accross the bottom
(which has the icon tray and 4 virtual window switcher).  When I
iconify a window, the outline moves to the lower-righthand corner
of the screen, and the icon does not appear.
