I completely don't know how subversion does work but if everyone is
saying subversion is better than cvs, why not ;-)

How do why switch? Someone with knowledge in svn (and cvs) can do it?
cvs2svn package seems to be the thing to use.

Is there a Debian package to add svn support in emacs?
