Jeroen is probably one of the most experienced with cvs to svn migration
in our group.  Hope he doesn't mind me saying so. ;-)  IIRC, choosing
good repository/project layouts is one of the key issues with migration.

There is svn support for emacs, but I haven't seen it packaged for
Debian yet.  O'Reilly's Learning GNU Emacs claims that Emacs 21.3.5 and
later ships with Subversion support.  Check out
