Please disregard my previous email and consider only the one I sent
very shortly afterwards.

The error was library-related (mix of GTK2 and GTK3) so there would
be really no need to put an "artificial" dependency in the control file
(on mate-desktop-common) when we can get the "real" dependency
(on libmate-desktop-2 17) from dpkg-shlibdeps automatically.
