Well this is the mailing list for the debian version of the package
(which is probably what the ubuntu version is based on).
The package works perfectly fine and doesn't segfault for me on i386 on
Debian Lenny.
The error seen however appears to be gtk (gobject) related, so perhaps
rebuilding the package against whatever is the current gtk libs would
fgix it, or perhaps the gtk version in ubuntu is broken.
