I made an upgraded version called 185.18.31-0.1 placed here:
http://tinyplanet.ca/~lsorense/debian/nvidia-185.18.31/

It includes the updated conftest.h needed for 2.6.31 but the patch has
been elliminated byt nvidia's own fixes in the new release.

I also included a missing dependancy for nvidia-glx-dev that caused a
build failure (bug #540667), as well as the fix someone posted for the
ia32-libs problem.
