96xx is useful for people that already have such an installation and
didn't upgrade Xorg, yet. It's not useful for new installations, but
these are probably rare with such old hardware. New 96xx upload fixes
compatibility with newer kernels.

And a squeeze base system + xorg from lenny + 71xx driver from unstable
is at least installable - I can't test if this really works though.
