And I think I saw someone confirm that the previous patch fixed
it for him.

I don't think that it being a dual processor actually has
anything to do with it, more that it's probably easier to
reproduce the problem on such machines.

I've tried to reproduce this on vore which is an Ultrasparc II
300, single cpu, and didn't have a problem.

Having no clue about sparc, I have no idea why the patch fixes
anything, or why the code suddenly breaks while it hasn't
changed.
