AFAICT, nobody objects (the team is CCed, since a few mails). We’re also 
holding on some updates because some packages already require PHP 8 
(other are still after PHP 5 compatibility, the world is a mess ;).

No clue, sorry. Not sure autopkgtest are used a lot outside of the PHP 
PEAR (and Composer) and Horde teams, that doesn’t help to get a quick grasp.
