Package: login
Version: 1:4.0.3-28.3
Severity: important
When using (uncommenting) the line
auth required pam_issue.so issue=/etc/issue
in /etc/pam.d/login
a login on a tty hangs for approx. 40 seconds after entering the user
name before asking for a password making the console login almost
unusable. Commenting out the above line makes login working as expected.
The file /etc/issue is present on my system with permissions 644.
Any ideas?
Olaf
