As for a longer explanation: Adding such workarounds takes the pressure
away to fix it properly. And eventually it is never fixed properly and
the workaround is never removed.
I've seen that too often in the past, like "please disable the
test-suite on kfreebsd-*" so the build succeeds.

Such (temporary) workarounds are ok if the block ongoing transitions for
release architectues.
But for new architectures/ non release architectures I don't see the
need for that. It would just be dishonest granting them such workarounds.
