only if you insist that video is a non-essential feature of ohphone. And
for me that is one of the core features, thus policy compliant. I think
we can ask Craig about this, if you feel like it, but as you said, the
effect either way is small enough to just settle it like this.

wrong. Sarge ships with OSS as default. Even though this is 99%
non-full-duplex Jose Carlos Garcia Sogo has ruled that OSS needs to be
the preferred plugin. I do still not support this by free will, but i
agree that at least for Sarge this is a reasonable default. Anyway, for
Etch we'll have this whole issue sorted out anyway I hope.

If you want the "universal" solution, then having no plugins at all and
all features monolithic would be preferred. The choice is by plain
majority of active users in TheRealWorld(TM) and that's V4L1 for now.

mmmh, you have a valid point there. I'll prepare this and see if
ohphone-basic even does offer video. If not, that's even more of a
reason to "fix" the wrong depends. ;)
