No I don't do any special stuff. My internetconnection is DHCP. That
is the only thing, but maybe my ISP DHCP server is slow
responding...but as far as I know Debians init scripts is waiting for
the interface to get a dhcp assigned address.

Ok. I tried putting a script with this in /etc/rc.local
I got an error about it couldn't resolve musimi.dk(my voip provider)
So maybe the nameresolution is slow to start working?
Acutally when asked about if I did something speciel with network
configuration I didn't think about that I am running a DNS server(and
local cache) on this machine under control of daemontools. I think
maybe daemontools is the last thing to started by init(directly by init)
Ok. Just tried changing my configuration to use the ISP provided
nameserver and it worked.
I am sorry I have wasted yours & Faidons time. I guess I have to read
more about how to use inittab :-(
But thanks for finding the issue. I very much appreciate the help
