The main difficulties we've had in the past to participate, as Debian,
in GCI have been related to task selections. So, I guess, the main need
ATM is someone willing to organize the task collection. If you're
willing to work on that, you'll be sure that the tasks will be offering
will allow you to also be a mentor :-) Hopefully others on this list
will be interested in helping out with the task selections...

I've been discussing briefly Ubuntu's bug-fixing initiative (on the
-derivatives list), and I agree it is a good start. For those who
haven't follow that, the main idea is selecting specific lintian checks
that would offer both good "educational" work and help the project if
they get fixed.
