Dear FTP Masters,

Please remove package gmchess and its reverse dependency (pidgin-gmchess) from 
Debian archive.

This package is pretty buggy and has a dead upstream. As its de facto 
maintainer, I believe it is no longer suitable for future Debian releases. 
Besides, there are better alternatives (xboard and others) that can provide 
equivalent features.

Package gmchess has one reverse dependency: pidgin-gmchess. It has been long 
orphaned and should be removed from the archive together with gmchess.

Also sending mail copy to package's previous maintainer for notification 
purpose.
