Bottom line... minicom barks with "**Line 9 of the personal config is unparsable" when you add this to your ~/.minirc.dfl

pu linewrap         Yes

This seems to be the correct syntax to enable linewrap, but it just doesn't work as of minicom-2.6.1 (running on Debian 7, i686)

The feature of setting a linewrapping value in the config file has only been added after version 2.6.1. So unfortunately this seems to be the expected behavior for this version.
