strange!

I set it anyway, and the test seems to have worked - the load now goes off
> soon after the PC shuts off and waits until the battery charges.

the result is there, but still strange. can somebody have accessed and
modify it locally in the meantime?
you may want  to perform some more shutdown cycles, to be 100% sure!
