Hi,

as we are changing a lot of compiler options at the moment, I'm
considering adding at least basic autopkgtest. Something like ensuring
all binaries are actually executable...

The fork also has a basic backup-restore test that we could use as a
template.

I've never started work because a big testsuite is available... but it's
not working with precompiled packages out of the box.
