Hi there!
After having committed the fix for #639466 [1], I discovered that the
two 'development*' branches contain fixes for quite a lot of other bugs:
<http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=7;bug=621282>
#bacula (5.0.3-2) unstable; urgency=low
#
# * [be651f7e] Remove sqlite -> sqlite3 upgrade path (lenny->squeeze)
# (Closes: #612352)
# * [0e04801e] Fix: init scripts fail if daemon already running.
# Thanks to Corey Hickey <bugfood-c at fatooh.org> (Closes: #608600)
# * [df0a0e8b] Fix FTBFS with binutils-gold.
# Thanks to Stephen Kitt <steve at sk2.org> (Closes: #553956)
# * [c668850c] Stop shipping .la files (Closes: #621282)
# * [bba06af6] Make use of /etc/default/bacula-{fd,sd,dir}
# (Closes: #555737, #530019, #530018, #530014)
# * [9df46bbb] Install conffiles, don't mess with them (Closes: 585037)
# * [911e6ddf] Don't set passwords at build time but ask for them
# (Closes: #585037, #602191, #493092)
I guess we need to upload a new version ASAP, at least to fix some
longstanding (like #585037), release-critical (like #621282) or
transitional (like #639466) issues.
However, I do not have time in the forthcoming two weeks, so is anyone
available? Jan (Cc:ed), you committed all of the changes above, what do
you think?
Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca
[1] I am sorry for the debian/changelog format I used, I still do not
like the git-dch output given that it is IMHO less human-readable
and also less explicative of the changes (and Debian packaging is
different than managing a repository...). Nevertheless, feel free
to discard it!
